Scholarship Summary:
Western Commitment Scholarships are automatically awarded to incoming domestic freshmen with a 3.3 GPA or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must;
i. Be incoming freshmen
ii. Meet the minimum high school GPA requirements of 3.3
iii. Enroll full-time in WIU undergraduate courses
iv. Submit a current year FAFSA or Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid with WIU as a school choice prior to the start of the semester of award
The Western Commitment Scholarships vary in amount.
Scholarships will be disbursed in equal amounts between the fall and spring semesters and are renewable for an additional three years (six semesters) of continuous full-time undergraduate study.
