The AIM HIGH Western Commitment Scholarships are automatically awarded to incoming domestic freshmen with a 3.0 GPA min. or higher (on a 4.0 scale).
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must;
i. Be incoming freshmen
ii. Meet the minimum high school GPA requirements of 3.0
iii. Enroll full-time in WIU undergraduate courses (requires continuous enrollment in fall and spring semesters each year).
iv. Submit a current year FAFSA or Alternative Application for Illinois Financial Aid with WIU as a school choice prior to the start of the semester of award
The Western Commitment Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Up to $6,000 (3.5 or higher GPA on a 4.0 scale)
ii. Up to $4,000 (3.00 - 3.49 GPA on a 4.0 scale)

Scholarships will be disbursed in equal amounts between the fall and spring semesters and are renewable for an additional three years (six semesters) of continuous full-time undergraduate study.
