Scholarship Summary:
The Presidential Scholarship is awarded to non-resident domestic and international undergraduate students who are in the top 5% of the admitted non-resident class at CU Boulder. Scholarships are highly competitive and not all students who are considered will receive an automatic consideration scholarship.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered you must demonstrate:
i. Minimum 3.6 weighted high school grade point average at time of application based on 4.0 scale; a high GPA alone may not be enough to qualify. Typically, about 25% of the incoming class earns a 4.0 GPA and not all students who are eligible receive a scholarship.
ii. Difficulty of coursework and positive grade trend through high school
iii. Extraordinary academic achievement relative to high school community
iv. You must be an incoming nonresident first-year student and remain a nonresident for tuition purposes. Receiving an in-state tuition exception will make you ineligible for this scholarship.
v. ACT/SAT test scores are not considered and will not be reviewed if submitted. Updated GPA or supporting materials will not be used for scholarship consideration after the admission application has been submitted.

Value of Scholarship:
The CU Boulder Presidential Scholarship is worth $55,000 total ($15,000 per year freshman and sophomore year & $12,500 per year junior and senior year)

If you are selected to receive the Presidential Scholarship, you are not eligible to receive the CU Boulder Chancellor’s Achievement Scholarship.
