Scholarship Summary:
Southwestern Adventist University will award eligible incoming freshmen (domestic and international) with one of the available merit scholarships, whichever is the highest. Awards are renewable for three years when student maintains GPA requirement.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum high school GPA of 2.5 OR
ii. Obtain a minimum ACT score of 18 or a minimum SAT score of 970

ii. Trustee Award: $7,000 (Required GPA: 3.85-3.94)
iii. Presidential Award: $6,000 (Required GPA: 3.75-3.84)
iv. Academic Dean Award: $4,000 (Required GPA: 3.60-3.74)
v. Achievement Award: $3,000 (Required GPA: 3.0-3.59)
vi. Admission Award: $2,000 (Required GPA: 2.50-2.99)
Based on SAT/ACT Scores
i. *Southwestern Scholar: 100% tuition (Required: 34 ACT/1500 SAT)
ii. Award of Excellence: $8,000 (Required: 30-33 ACT/1360-1480 SAT)
iii. Trustee Award: $7,000 (Required: 28-29 ACT/1300-1350 SAT)
iv. Presidential Award: $6,000 (Required: 25-27 ACT/1200-1290 SAT)
v. Academic Dean Award: $4,000 (Required: 23-24 ACT/1130-1190 SAT)
vi. Achievement Award: $3,000 (Required: 19-22 ACT/990-1120 SAT)
vii. Admission Award: $2,000 (Required: 18 ACT/970-980 SAT)
* International freshmen students are not eligible for this award.
