Scholarship Summary:
All first-time freshman students (domestic and international) who apply for fall admission to University of South Dakota are automatically considered for up to $3,500 per year. The Coyote Beginnings Scholarship is available to recipients for up to four years as a full-time student and is based on GPA, standardized test scores and committee review.

Value of Scholarship:
The USD Coyote Beginnings Scholarships range up to $3,500/year. This scholarship program is available for eight consecutive undergraduate semesters (fall/spring), provided the renewal criteria is met and recipients must complete full-time enrollment in each academic year.
International students are also eligible to receive the Coyote Beginnings Grant if they have a qualifying SAT or ACT score. This award is valued between $1,500 to $2,500 per year and may be stacked on top of the Coyote Beginnings Scholarship
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application; the Coyote Beginnings is automatically awarded to first-time freshman applicants students at the time of admission.
