Scholarship Summary: 
The prestigious Currie Scholarships are awarded annually to Canadian students beginning an undergraduate degree program at the University of New Brunswick upon graduation from a high school in any of the four Atlantic Provinces.

Currie Scholars exemplify leadership, academic excellence and have overcome a significant obstacle. Financial need is an important consideration.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
The criteria for this Scholarship include;
i. High school graduate from Atlantic Canada (New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island)
ii. Exemplify leadership, academic excellence and have overcome a significant obstacle
iii. Demonstrate significant financial need

Value of Scholarship: 
A total of four Currie Undergraduate Scholarships will be awarded with a total value of CAD$65,000 each. Each award will be disbursed as follows: 
Year 1: CAD$20,000
Year 2: CAD$20,000
Year 3: CAD$15,000 
Year 4: CAD$10,000

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Submit a completed application form and be admitted into UNB.
ii. Submit the following documents to the UNB’s Undergraduate Awards Office; 
    1. Completed and signed scholarship application form
    2. Personal statement essay outlining giving an indication of your leadership capabilities to date including, but not limited to, school and extra-curricular activities. Required in the essay is evidence of overcoming barriers or difficult situations
    3. Two letters of recommendation, one of which is from a teacher, principal or guidance counselor. 
    4. Official high school transcript, including your rank in class. 

- The completed application package may be emailed to the Undergraduate Awards Office as a single PDF, faxed or mailed with the required signatures. The applicant must be able to supply the original documentation to the Undergraduate Awards Office upon request;
