Scholarship Summary: 
The Denver Scholarship Foundation offers need-based scholarships to qualifying graduates of Denver Public Schools (US citizens and residents only). The scholarship can be used at DSF's College Partners in Colorado, including technical, community, and four-year colleges and universities. The scholarship is renewable for up to four years depending on the type of college you attend. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be eligible for the DSF Scholarship, you must meet the following initial requirements:
•  Attend a Denver Public Schools (DPS) high school for all four consecutive years before graduation, unless you transferred into DPS from another state or country while in high school..
•  Graduate from a DPS High School with at least a 2.0 GPA and meet DSF’s GPA requirement for your college type (visit the High School GPA Requirement section for important details).
•  Demonstrate financial need.
•  Meet your college’s requirements for Colorado residency classification (for in-state tuition or state aid).
•  Be enrolled full-time for undergraduate study at one of DSF's College Partners

Value of Scholarship: 
The DSF Scholarship 2024-25 Annual Awards are valued as follows;
i. 4-year College/University - $3,600 (Required HS GPA: 2.75)
ii. Community College - $1,700 (Required HS GPA: 2.5)
iii. Technical College - $1,700 (Required HS GPA: 2.0)

The award amounts shown above are based on full-time enrollment (12 or more credits per term, or the equivalent) and are divided equally between semesters/quarters. 

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
i. Apply for undergraduate admission into one of the DSF partner colleges and make sure to meet your college’s requirements for Colorado residency
iii. Submit your 2024-25 FAFSA, CASFA, or other financial aid application(s) right away if you haven't yet
iv. Complete your college financial aid requirements by July 15
v. Update your college choice by July 15; after applying for DSF, log back into the DSF portal and update your college choice
vi. DSF will send important emails about your DSF status in May and July. Read them to make sure you're on track!

To renew your DSF Scholarship, you must complete the renewal application process and meet the following requirements:
  • You must complete a short (10 minutes or less) renewal application for each school year that you wish to receive the DSF Scholarship. The renewal application for the upcoming school year becomes available in your DSF Student Portal account in February and closes on May 1. 
Remember, in addition to submitting a renewal application, you must meet the following deadlines and requirements to maintain your DSF eligibility for the next school year: 
  • Complete your Student Success Requirements each term 
  • Meet your college’s Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements by completing your courses and keeping your grades up 
  • Finalize your college choice in the DSF Student Portal by July 15 
  • Complete your financial aid requirements (including your financial aid application[s] and any verification documents requested by your college) by July 15 
  • Enroll full-time each term, or get DSF’s advance approval for part-time enrollment – Learn more
