Scholarship Summary:
Shawnee State University is delighted to award the Shawnee Scholar Award to selected outstanding freshmen students (domestic and international) with exceptional academic records.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.8 out of a 4.0 scale
ii. Obtain a minimum ACT score of 30 or higher or SAT (combined reading/math) score of 1320+
Value of Scholarship:
The Shawnee Scholar award is valued at full-tuition for four years.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Complete an admission application into SSU by the above deadline
ii. Send a sample of your best work by February 1. This can be anything that demonstrates your interests, talents, and skill level as an incoming freshman. Your submission can be a poem you wrote, an essay, painting, drawing, video of a performance, math equation you solved — anything that makes you proud and represents you as a student. Along with your submission, send a note about why you chose your particular sample.
