Scholarship Summary:
YSU awards the Honors College Awards to exceptional incoming freshmen students (domestic and international) upon acceptance into its Honors College. These Honors College scholarships are awarded to first-year students coming directly from high school.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum high school GPA of 3.5
ii. Obtain a minimum of 26 ACT or SAT combined Math, Verbal and Writing 1240
Value of Scholarship:
The YSU Honors College Awards are valued as follows;
For domestic students
i. Tuition scholarships range from $1,000-$3,000
ii. Housing scholarships range from $1,000-$3,000
The above scholarships may be combined with Freshman Scholarships for Excellence
iii. Leslie H. Cochran University Scholarship - covers the full cost of undergraduate study
For international students
i. Tuition scholarships - $1,000 renewable up to 4 years
ii. Housing scholarships - $2,000 renewable up to 2 years
