Scholarship Summary: 
Missouri State University is awarding a number of international scholarships to international students (non-Missouri residents for fee purposes) entering Missouri State as first-time college students.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To qualify for this scholarship, students must; 
i. Have a minimum ACT composite of 24 or higher (or SAT of 1160) in addition to a strong academic record in high school (secondary school). 
ii. Enroll at Missouri State as regular, degree-seeking students on the Springfield Campus within 24 months of completion of high school or the equivalent in their country and must have qualifying test scores on file prior to the first semester of regular enrollment.

Value of Scholarship: 
The MSU International Freshman Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. International Excellence Scholarship: $7,500 per year {multiple awards} [Required: ACT composite of 24 or higher (or SAT of 1160)].
This scholarship has a value of $7,500, payable at $3,750 per semester during the academic year (fall and spring semesters). The scholarship is not applicable to summer enrollment. The scholarship is renewable for three years beyond the first year (four years total) and thus has a total potential value of $30,000.

ii. International Leadership Scholarship: $10,000 per year {10 awards available} [Required: ACT composite of 26 or higher (or SAT of 1230)]. 
This scholarship has a value of $10,000, payable at $5,000 per semester during the academic year (fall and spring semesters). The scholarship is not applicable to summer enrollment. The scholarship is renewable for three years beyond the first year (four years total) and thus has a total potential value of $40,000.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
For International Excellence Scholarship
No application is required. Qualified students will be identified by the Office of International Services through the admission process.

For the International Leadership Scholarship
i. Apply for admission by March 15 for fall semester (apply by September 15 for spring semester).
ii. Eligible students will be identified by the Office of International Services based on their admission application credentials. 
iii. Eligible students will be asked to submit an essay for consideration by the International Leadership Scholarship Selection Committee, which will choose the scholarship recipients.
