Scholarship Summary:
University of Leicester is awarding the unique ‘Citizens of Change scholarships to creative incoming UK undergraduates with about ambitions for making the world a better place.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be considered, applicant must;
i. Be a UK student who has applied to the University of Leicester and who holds an offer to study a full time campus-based undergraduate course starting in September 2024 by 6 June 2024.
- Successful applicants will need to have made Leicester their firm choice and have met the conditions of their offer
Value of Scholarship:
The ‘Citizens of Change’ scholarships are valued as follows;
i. 25 scholarships for UK students - £15,000 (£5,000 per year for the first 3 years of your course).
ii. 50 scholarships for UK students - £7,500 (£2,500 per year for the first 3 years of your course).
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Create a short video (60 seconds maximum) that answers the question: “What do you want to change?” The video must be in portrait orientation – Leicester suggest making use of TikTok or Instagram Reels.
ii. Submit your video URL by completing the Citizens of Change Scholarship submission form. If creating your video on TikTok or Instagram, please tag @uniofleicester and #OursToChange.
- If you are creating your video on TikTok/Instagram but have your account set to private, please download and submit the video file via email to CoCScholarship@leicester.ac.uk.
