Scholarship Summary:
Wilfrid Laurier awards entrance scholarships to students (Canadian and International) who are entering their first year of any undergraduate program and attending postsecondary for the first time.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have a minimum admission average of 85% for Canadian students and 80% for international students
ii. Be registered full-time (2.0 credits minimum per term) to receive the full entrance scholarship amount
iii. Be registered in two terms within your first academic year (an academic year at the university is from September to April)
Value of Scholarship:
The WLU Entrance Scholarships are one-time awards and are valued as follows;
CANADIAN STUDENTS
i. Admission Average of 85.0 – 89.9%: CAD$2,500
ii. Admission Average of 90.0 – 94.9%: CAD$3,000
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
i. Admission Average of 80.0 – 84.8%: CAD$1,500
ii. Admission Average of 85.0 – 89.9%: CAD$3,000
iii. Admission Average of 90.0 – 94.9%: CAD$5,000
The value of an entrance scholarship is split between the first two terms of study. Applicants with higher admission averages are eligible for the President’s Gold Scholarship.
