Scholarship Summary:
University of Idaho recognizes new, first-time undergraduate students (domestic and international) and ensures that admitted students who meet certain criteria are guaranteed to receive a minimum level of funding. This funding level is guaranteed for up to three additional years with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. A new, first-time freshman admitted to the University of Idaho
ii. Pursuing your first bachelor's degree
iii. Have an incoming GPA of 3.0 or higher
Value of Scholarship:
The University of Idaho Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Idaho residents receive the Go Idaho! scholarship valued from $1,000 - $7,500 annually
ii. Non-resident domestic students and international students receive the 'Invitation to Idaho scholarship', worth over $15,966 annually
iii. Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE): WUE students pay in-state tuition plus 50%, resulting in a savings of approximately $16,000/year
Scholarship Application Guide:
Students are automatically considered for all institutional aid and scholarships when filling out the admissions application. There is no separate scholarship applications required to be considered for institutional aid.
