Scholarship Summary:
University of South Carolina is awarding academic merit scholarships to incoming South Carolina freshmen who have shown excellence in their academic credentials.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
As reference, recipients of the Garnet Scholars award typically have an average SAT score of 1265 (ACT score of 27) and an average unweighted high school GPA of 4.8 and are in the top 15% of their high school class, on average.

The USC Academic Merit Scholarships are valued as follows;
i. Alumni Scholars Award: Annual value: $8,000
Four-year value: $32,000
ii. Trustees Endowment Scholars Award: Annual value: $5,000

iii. Valedictorian Scholars Award: Annual value: $3,000
Four-year value: $12,000
iv. Dean’s Scholars Award: Annual value: $3,000

v. University Scholars Award: Annual value: $2,000

vi. Presidential Scholars Award: Annual value: $1,000
