Scholarship Summary:
PLU is awarding several competitive scholarships to domestic freshmen students who have distinguished themselves in their academic studies and have demonstrated significant leadership and service.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.8 (weighted), OR
ii. Scored 1310 or higher on the SAT (math and evidence-based reading and writing only), OR
iii. Scored 28 or higher on the ACT.
Value of Scholarship:
120 President’s Scholars are selected each year, and they receive the following scholarships;
i. Presidential Scholarship: valued as $34,000 annually {awarded to 105 students}
ii. Harstad Founder’s Scholarship: valued as $40,000 annually {awarded to 10 students}
iii. Regent’s Scholarship: valued as the full tuition cost annually {awarded to 5 students}
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply;
i. Students must submit their PLU application materials by December 1, 2023 and their Presidential Scholarships supplemental application by December 15, 2023.
- Once you have submitted your PLU application via Common App (which you must do by December 1), you will receive an email inviting you to apply for the Presidential Scholarships.
- You will be asked to log-in to your PLU student applicant portal in order to access the scholarship application. Complete the Fall 2024 Presidential Scholarships Application by 11:59pm PST, December 15, 2023.
iii. Students are notified within two weeks after the interview process
