Scholarship Summary:
CBU offers a multitude of scholarship and grant opportunities to make the cost of attendance more affordable. These scholarships are awarded to students (domestic and international) enrolling for the first time at California Baptist University in fall, and are based on a student’s cumulative weighted GPA.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
For domestic students
i. Obtain a minimum 2.95 cumulative weighted GPA and above
For international students
i. Obtain a minimum 3.5 cumulative weighted GPA and above
ii. Meet the admission English language requirement
Value of Scholarship:
The CBU Freshman Scholarships are valued from;
For domestic students
i. Trustees Scholarship - $16,000 per year {4.0 GPA and above}
ii. Presidents Scholarship - $15,000 per year {3.9 - 3.99 GPA}
iii. Deans Scholarship - $14,000 per year {3.3 - 3.89 GPA}
iv. Directors Scholarship - $10,000 per year {2.95 - 3.29 GPA}
For international students
i. Ambassador’s Scholarship - $12,000 per year {3.5 cumulative weighted GPA and above}
ii. Diplomat's Scholarships - $9,000 per year {3.0-3.49 cumulative weighted GPA}
Scholarship Application Guide:
There is no separate scholarship application; complete an admission application to be considered for a scholarship. Please note that the Fall semester priority application deadline is December 1st.
