Scholarship Deadline: 
Applications for this scholarship will end as follows;
i. For incoming international undergraduate and graduate students: 1st of November, 2021
ii. For currently enrolled international undergraduate and graduate students: 15th of October, 2021 

Scholarship Summary: 
The International Student Scholarship was established by the Board of Trustees to assist students from other countries to attend EIU. Awards are competitive and designed to promote cultural exchange and diversity. Awards may be granted on the basis of one or both of the following factors: financial need and academic excellence.
 
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must have;
i. A minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.00 (undergraduate) or 3.25 (graduate), as converted to the EIU grading scale.
ii. Full academic admission to a degree program
iii. Proof of funding for living expenses and fees (see financial affidavit form here)

Value of Scholarship: 
The EIU International scholarship pays partial tuition for minimum full-time enrollment in on-campus EIU courses. Fees, field trips, continuing education delivery charges, travel, living expenses, and other personal expenses are not covered.

Scholarship awards are only granted for two semesters at a time and recipients must re-apply every year to maintain this scholarship.
