Scholarship Summary:
UAB offers generous scholarships to high-performing domestic students from states outside of Alabama. All scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis to qualified students and all out-of-state entering freshmen who have their admission documents postmarked by the deadline date are automatically considered for ACT & GPA-based scholarships.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible, you must;
i. Earn a minimum high school GPA of 3.0/4.0 and
ii. Obtain a minimum SAT score of 1160 or a minimum ACT score of 24
Value of Scholarship:
The UAB Blazer Scholarships are valued as follows;.
i. Presidential Elite Scholarship: $27,000 (36 ACT/1570–1600 SAT and 4.0+ GPA)
ii. Presidential Scholarship: $21,000 (36 ACT/1570–1600 SAT and 3.5-3.99 GPA)
iii. Presidential Scholarship: $21,000 (32–35 ACT/1420–1560 SAT and 3.5+ GPA)
iv. Provost Scholarship: $16,000 (30–36 ACT/1360–1600 SAT and 3.0–3.49 GPA)
v. Provost Scholarship: $16,000 (27–31 ACT/1260–1410 SAT and 3.5+ GPA)
vi. Green & Gold Scholarship: $9,000 (27–29 ACT/1260–1350 SAT and 3.0-3.49 GPA)
vii. Green & Gold Scholarship: $9,000 (24–26 ACT/1160–1250 SAT and 3.5+ GPA)
viii. Blazer Scholarship: $7,000 (24–26 ACT/1160–1250 SAT and 3.0–3.49 GPA)
ix. Blazer Scholarship: $7,000 (22–23 ACT/1100–1150 SAT and 3.5+ GPA)
All above scholarships are renewable for four years.
Scholarship Application Guide:
Students admitted with test scores are automatically considered for ACT- and GPA-based merit scholarships. Complete an admission application and all required documentation by the stated deadline.
