Scholarship Summary:
Glasgow Caledonian University prides itself in making a positive difference in the lives of the communities they serve and is often termed the University for the Common Good. GCU is thus pleased to offer the Postgraduate Ambassador Studentship to international students who can demonstrate how they have contributed to the ‘Common Good’ and are looking to commence studies in September 2024 on a Masters course.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Be an International student who can demonstrate how they have contributed to the ‘Common Good’
ii. Have an offer to study a Masters programme at GCU (Glasgow or London Campus) commencing September 2024.
iii. Be able to cover living costs in line with the UKVI requirements when applying for a Visa
Value of Scholarship:
The Postgraduate Ambassador Studentship is a full tuition fee scholarship for 1 Year Masters programme.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To apply for this scholarship;
i. You must apply and hold an offer of study with GCU before applying or the application will be rejected
ii. Have an offer to study a Masters programme at GCU (Glasgow or London Campus) commencing September 2024.
iii. Be able to cover living costs in line with the UKVI requirements when applying for a Visa

ii. Complete the scholarship application; please note that this scholarship is competitive and would require you to give details on the impact your Common Good activity has made such as;
a. Have you helped others less fortunate?
b. Have you set up a project designed to help your community?
c. Have you volunteered?
d. Detail your financial need and how you will support your living costs in line with UKVI requirements

iii. As part of the application, you will be required to submit a video of no longer than 2 minutes telling about yourself and how you have contributed to the common good. Please detail the link of your Youtube or Vimeo video on the application form.
iv. You will also be required to sign and agree to the Ambassadors Charter which outlines requirements for successful applicants. These are:
- Record three vlogs/blogs about your experience as a student of GCU
- At least one social media takeover (such as Instagram live)
- Be in attendance and adopt an ambassadorial role at our open days/afternoons
- One hour per week as a Unibuddy helping answer prospective students' questions about life at GCU.
