Scholarship Summary: 
Montana State University is offering the Achievement Awards to non-resident domestic freshmen (US citizens not residing in Montana) who apply for admission. These Awards are automatic, merit-based scholarships based upon GPA and test scores. All non-resident freshmen who submit an application for admission complete with self-reported high school GPA are automatically considered.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
There are no set criteria for consideration but past recipients were in the top 30% of the applicant pool.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Montana State Non-resident Awards are valued as follows;
i. Achievement Awards: Amounts will vary up to $40,000 (up to $10,000 per year renewable)
ii. Blue & Gold Awards: Amounts will vary but will be awarded in addition to the Achievement Award
iii. Western Undergraduate Exchange (WUE) Awards: Equal 1.5 times the in-state tuition rate and is not stackable with Achievement Awards {WUE States include: AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, NV, NM, ND, OR, SD, UT, WA, WY and CNMI}.

i. Apply for admission to Montana State University.
Be sure to include your self-reported GPA and class rank (if applicable) on the High School Self Report Form
Test scores are no longer required for scholarship consideration. Please note that other academic information, including cumulative GPA, is still required.

ii. For the Blue & Gold or WUE Awards: Complete and submit the Blue & Gold/WUE Scholarship application within the MyInfo Admission Checklist under the scholarship section.
