Scholarship Summary:
Temple University offers a host of Academic Merit Scholarships to exceptional incoming freshmen students (domestic and international).
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria for consideration as the number of academic merit scholarships awarded are determined by the availability of funding and the size, quality and characteristics of the overall applicant pool.
Value of Scholarship:
The Academic Merit Scholarships range from $1,000 - full tuition cost and is renewable, provided a certain cumulative GPA is maintained.
Scholarships awarded by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions are guaranteed for the first two years of a student’s enrollment. At the completion of the second year (fourth semester), the student must meet the minimum GPA for their scholarship to renew the fund into the third year, and again for the fourth year.
Scholarship Application Guide:
To be considered for an academic scholarship, submit a complete admission application by the Feb. 1 deadline; no separate application is required. Recipients are selected by the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
The non-refundable undergraduate tuition deposit must be submitted by May 1 in order to secure a scholarship.
