Scholarship Summary: 

Eastern Honors Scholarships are awarded to exceptional incoming first-year students (domestic and international) who are admitted to the University Honors Program and are conditioned on the student’s living on campus and continuing participation in the program.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 

To be eligible, applicants; 

i. Are expected to be in the top 15% of their respective high school classes 

ii. Must have achieved at least a 1250 on the SAT (combined score for the verbal and math sections)

iii. Must obtain a minimum high school GPA of 3.5

Value of Scholarship: 

Depending on your residency status, honors students could receive a full-tuition scholarship; find more details here.

To apply;

i. All candidates must apply and be accepted into Eastern Connecticut before applying for the Honors Program.  
ii. Complete the Honors Scholarship application form (including the Honors essay) available on the Honors page
; an important component of the Honors application is the essay; you may choose one of the two prompts listed on the Application Essay Prompts page
. 

iii. Recommendations should be made by academic teachers who can personally attest to the student's academic performance and potential to succeed in an Honors Program in particular. Teachers should complete Eastern's Honors Recommendation Form, which will be available on the Honors page.
