Scholarship Summary: 

QUT Women in Engineering Scholarship aims to support passionate and talented female Australian undergraduates who can demonstrate eagerness to foster growth and recognition of the contribution of female engineers to the profession and the broader community. 

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

• have completed Year 12 (or a gap year) in 2022 and must be starting university undergraduate degree for the first time in 2023

• identify as female

• have placed QUT as your first QTAC preference

• be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent resident

• be applying to start one of the following courses;

1. Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
2. Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/Master or Robotics and Artificial Intelligence
3. QUT - Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Sustainable Infrastructure
4. QUT - Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Advanced Manufacturing
5. QUT - Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Renewable Energy
6. or an engineering double degree course at QUT.

Eligible applicants will:

• be eager to foster growth and recognition of the contribution of female engineers to the profession and the broader community

• be able to effectively balance study with other pursuits

• have the potential to take leadership roles amongst the engineering community

• be able to support and influence others to achieve greater things

• work well and communicate easily with their peers, in teams and with others in the wider engineering community

• be committed to personal awareness and growth

Value of Scholarship: 

Recipients will receive:

• a scholarship valued at AUD$6,000, paid over two years.

• option to apply for the Faculty of Engineering Dean's Scholars Program
