Scholarship Summary:
Oregon State University is awarding merit scholarships to newly-admitted freshmen from Oregon and these scholarships will be awarded automatically based on a holistic review of your application for admission.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must;
i. Obtain a minimum HS GPA of 3.50
Please note that applications will also be reviewed based on the following parameters;
• Your high school grades
• Rigor of coursework, considered in the context of your school
• Class rank
• Grades in any college or dual-credit courses
• Information provided in your personal statement on the application
• Your response to one of our available essay prompts
Value of Scholarship:
The OSU Resident Merit scholarships are valued as follows;
• Finley Academic Excellence Scholarship: up to $4,500 annually {Required: 3.50 unweighted GPA min}
• Presidential Scholarship: up to $10,000 annually {Required: minimum 3.85 unweighted GPA and/or a minimum 4.20 weighted high school GPA}
The above awards are renewable for up to three additional years (up to four years of funding total)
