Scholarship Summary:
The Charles Sturt Destination Australia Scholarship from Destination Australia – an Australian Government initiative – is designed to encourage Australian students to study in regional Australia. You’ll enjoy a vibrant lifestyle minus the hustle and bustle.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must be:
1. a commencing Charles Sturt University student in 2024
2. enrolled as a full-time student
3. enrolled as an on-campus student
4. an Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, a permanent Australian resident.
5. enrolled at Charles Sturt University in an eligible course at the designated campus (find eligible courses in the scholarship link below)
Value of Scholarship:
The Charles Sturt Destination Australia Scholarship is worth AUD$15,000 per annum. Payments will be made by electronic funds transfer (EFT) to your nominated bank account. Payments will be made in two instalments per year, after the census date of session 1 and 2, subsequent to you maintaining eligibility.
To continue to be eligible for this Scholarship, you must, by the census date of each subsequent session:
• Maintain ongoing residency in a regional area as defined by the 2016 Australian Geography Standard Remoteness Structure, for the duration of each study period.
• Meet initial eligibility criteria and
• Maintain a Grade point average (GPA) of 4.0 or higher

iii. Applications with incorrect or no requested supporting documentation will be assessed on what is provided.
