Scholarship Summary: 
The Springfield Excellence Scholarship for Graduate study will be awarded to four entering and four returning graduate students (domestic and international) annually who have proven records of academic and personal achievements and superior professional promise. Financial need is not a factor.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants;
i. Must have been admitted to a graduate degree program at Springfield College.  

ii. New graduate student recipients must be admitted in good standing with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of no less than a 3.5 or a cumulative graduate GPA of 3.75. GPA is recalculated at the point of scholarship consideration. 

iii. Returning graduate student recipients must be enrolled in good standing with a cumulative GPA of a 3.75 with no less than 18 semester hours of graduate coursework completed. GPA is recalculated at the point of scholarship

Value of Scholarship: 
The Springfield Excellence Scholarship for Graduate Study is valued as an 18 credit tuition waiver that is applied over the course of one academic year.

Scholarship Application Guide: 
To apply;
For New Students
i. Applicants must submit the Graduate Excellence Scholarship Application, a personal statement, along with a current resume to the Office of Graduate Admissions by March 1.

ii. Recommendation Letters: One must be academic in nature. These may be sent separately from your application and should come directly from the recommender. They must be received on or before March 1 by the Office of Graduate Admissions. Letters may be emailed to graduate@springfield.edu by March 1. 

iii. Academic transcripts, currently on file with the Office of Graduate Admissions, will be used in the selection process.

iv. The completed application and all other required documents should be submitted by March 1 to graduate@springfield.edu or:

For Returning Students
i. Applicants must submit the Graduate Excellence Scholarship Application and all other required documents to the Office of Graduate Admissions by April 1.
