Canadian applicants entering the Dalhousie Bachelor of Computer Science or the Bachelor of Applied Computer Science program directly from high school are eligible for entrance scholarships.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
To be eligible for consideration, applicants must
i. Be entering the University directly from high school
ii. Have an overall average of at least 70%, (please see individual program pages for full admission requirements)
iii. Demonstrate how a passion for technology has had, or will have, an impact on your community as defined in the broadest sense of the term, through one or more of the following activities;
- Development of a website or database for an organization
- Using social media to promote a cause
- Leadership empowered by a command of technology
- Blogging on various topics in the ICT industry
- Teaching others how to solve problems using technology
- Participation in groups working with technology
- Participation in technology-focused events
Value of Scholarship:
The Dalhousie Computer Science Entrance Scholarship is valued as CAD$5,000 (non-renewable).

• Apply for the Bachelor of Computer Science Program or the Bachelor of Applied Computer Science Program at Dalhousie
- Submit any supporting documentation related to the award application
- Pay the $70 CAD admissions application fee
- Submit your official first semester transcript or, for Nova Scotia and Ontario applicants, your provincial student ID number. All documents must be sent to the Registrar’s Office; transcripts must be sent by the issuing institution.
