Domestic freshmen students who apply to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign are automatically considered for a host of merit scholarships based on academic excellence.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
There are no set criteria but past recipients were in the top 25% of the applicant pool.
Value of Scholarship:
The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Merit-based Scholarships are valued as follows;
For Illinois Residents
i. James Hunter Anthony & Gerald E. Blackshear Endowment – Full Tuition and Fees
ii. Provost Scholarship – Full tuition
iii. President’s Award Program Honors - Up to $10,000
iv. President’s Award Program - Up to $5,000
v. Matthews Scholars - $2,000
For Non-residents
i. Illinois Achievement Scholarship – Up to $10,000
All the above scholarships are renewable for up to four years, provided the requisite GPA is met.
