Scholarship Summary: 
Newcastle University is pleased to offer partial Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarships to assist international students from eligible countries, to study an undergraduate or master's degree.

Scholarship Applicant Criteria: 
To be considered for these awards, applicants must:
i. Be a national of one of the following countries: 
  • Undergraduate: Algeria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, Ghana, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Peru, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka,  Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey*, UAE, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam or Zimbabwe.
  • Postgraduate: Algeria, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Brazil, Canada, Colombia, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Kuwait, Malaysia, Mexico, Morocco, Myanmar, Nepal, Norway, Peru, Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey*, UAE, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Vietnam or Zimbabwe.
ii. Have been offered a place to study on an eligible undergraduate or postgraduate degree course at the University’s Newcastle city centre campus for the 2026/27 academic year
iii. Be assessed as international for fee purposes

* Applicants domiciled in Turkey will only be considered if they are self-funding their studies.

Value of Scholarship: 
The Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship is valued as follows;
i. Undergraduate: £7,000 
ii. Postgraduate: £8,000

Awards will be credited to the student’s tuition fee account and may be exhausted early in the application cycle. Early programme applications are therefore encouraged.
