Scholarship Summary:
Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) will support Home undergraduate and postgraduate students from a Black and Mixed Black ethnic background with the Level Playing Field Scholarship on courses in Westminster’s School of Computer Science and Engineering.
Scholarship Applicant Criteria:
In order to apply you must:
Undergraduate
• Be an undergraduate UK student with an offer to study a full-time course at the School of Computer Sciences and Engineering at the University of Westminster in September 2023.
• Be from a Black or Mixed Black ethnic background
• Be getting your full undergraduate student loan for 2023/24 and have a Household income of less than £25,000. Applicants must have applied for the maximum student support available from the Student Loans Company (SLC). This includes applying for finance based on your household income (means tested).
Postgraduate
• Be an postgraduate UK student with an offer to study a full-time course at the School of Computer Sciences and Engineering at the University of Westminster in September 2023.
• Be from a Black or Mixed Black ethnic background
• Have a minimum 2.1 Honours Degree
The selection is based on financial need and personal statement.
Value of Scholarship:
A. Undergraduate
Successful applicants will receive £10,000 in each eligible year of study for a maximum of three years, subject to progression to the next year of their course.
A. Postgraduate
Successful applicants will receive £10,000 in total.
£5000 will be paid into your nominated bank account and £5000 towards your tuition fees paid directly to the University in November (of each academic year).
